The 22 year-old Nico Silva is an American racing driver and athlete. With a diverse and unique resume full of accomplishments, Nico is well set on his way to his goal of accomplishing a factory drive.
At the young age of five, Nico got his start in karting after a family visit in Brazil, where he was able for the first time encounter the world of motorsports at the Interlagos circuit. Throughout his karting career, Nico has competed and won in local, national, and international events.
At the age of 15, Nico won a prize purse in the 2011 Skip Barber Karts to Cars Shootout And competed in the Skip Barber Race Series The following year with full support from sponsors, Nico was invited by a Formula 3 team to race in the opening round of the 2013 Formula 3 Sul-Americana series In Brazil and accomplished a podium finish after only his 2nd race.
With support from his sponsors Tony Roma’s Brasil And Replay XD, Nico raced in the Formula 3 Brasil series in 2014-2015 seasons. In 2016, Nico raced in select EuroFormula Open races.
Following a 2-year hiatus, Nico found sponsorship to race in the VdeV Endurance Series in LMP3 at Le Mans, where he finished first in the Prestige category and just missed out on an overall podium finish. For 2019 and beyond, Nico is pursuing racing in Europe full time.
